Divorce is one of the toughest challenges you will ever face. It is a major life transition. As a divorced parent, a stepparent, and the parent of a special needs child, I felt firsthand the anxiety, fear, frustrations, and pain of an adversarial divorce process after 30 years of marriage. While every family including yours is unique, I want you to know I have traveled a similar path. It is these and other life experiences along with my professional background that make me uniquely qualified to help families in conflict.

My perspective on helping families sort out their finances is very simple. My goal is to efficiently and as cost effectively as possible, help you conserve your family’s financial resources for the benefit of your family because that is where your financial resources belong. Your family and your financial resources do not belong in an adversarial court based process where financial resources can quickly vanish, relationships are destroyed, and children become caught in the middle instead of being at the center of two loving caring parents. I will diligently work with you to help you and your spouse discuss and evaluate financial options so both of you can structure sound financial agreements for the next stage of your life.

I offer an initial one-hour consultation at no cost to discuss your process options, share with you the Collaborative Divorce financial process, and answer your questions about the process. I can meet at office locations in Plymouth, Edina, St. Paul, and Woodbury. I offer virtual meetings utilizing audio and video screen-sharing capabilities to meet with you wherever you may be. I wish I could tell you that Collaborative Divorce is easy. It is not. Collaborative Divorce is hard work both for you as a couple and for me as your financial neutral.
